Single folded leaf with writing only on the front, 32×20 cm. Official document declaring that Maria Elisa baronesse van Heerdt tot Eversberg (1892 Den Helder -1973 Den Haag), now living in Zaandam, is of Dutch nationality. Signed by the mayor of Zaandam (K. ter Laan, 1871-1963) and dated to 12 November 1914. With a blue stamp beneath the handwritten text (Gemeentebestuur Zaandam) and an orange stamp in the top left corner (Zegelrecht met opcenten, 50 c., 'sGr. 1913). Maria Elisa was the daughter of Reinhart Frans, Baron van Heerdt tot Eversberg (1863 Paramaribo -1922 Apeldoorn) and Louise Engeline Charlotte Uilkens (1868 Tjandie -1961 Den Haag). She was born on 7 December 1892. The family Van Heerdt is part of the old nobility of Gelderland, with Gijsbert van Heerde as oldest known ancestor. Two branches of this family were admitted to the Royal Dutch nobilty in 1814 and 1822. The head of the branch Van Heerdt tot Eversberg was addressed as count (graaf), the other familymembers as baron or baroness.
